Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Planning & Strategy:
- Develop procurement strategies, plans, and timelines for project requirements, ensuring that materials, services, and equipment are sourced in accordance with project schedules.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure that all procurement activities align with project technical requirements and timelines.
- Analyze market conditions and supplier capabilities to ensure cost-effective procurement strategies.
Vendor Selection & Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers, and manage the vendor selection process.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable and continuous supply of materials and services.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contract specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
Procurement Execution:
- Prepare and issue requests for quotations (RFQs), requests for proposals (RFPs), and purchase orders (POs) for materials, services, and equipment.
- Review and evaluate bids to ensure the best possible value for the project while meeting quality, delivery, and technical requirements.
- Ensure that all procurement documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and delivery schedules, is accurate and complete.
- Monitor procurement activities to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services in accordance with project deadlines.
Cost Management & Budget Control:
- Work closely with the project finance and budget teams to ensure procurement costs remain within the approved project budget.
- Track and report on procurement costs, identifying any cost overruns or savings, and providing recommendations for cost control.
- Review and approve purchase orders and supplier invoices, ensuring that they align with agreed terms and conditions.
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Identify and mitigate risks related to procurement, including supply chain disruptions, price volatility, and quality issues.
- Ensure that procurement activities are compliant with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual agreements.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and new developments to improve procurement processes.
Supply Chain Coordination:
- Coordinate with logistics and warehousing teams to ensure that procured materials and equipment are delivered on time and properly stored.
- Work with other project departments to address any issues related to material shortages, delays, or quality concerns.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, supplier communications, and other relevant documentation.
- Provide regular reports on procurement status, cost performance, and supplier performance to management and stakeholders.
- Participate in project meetings, providing updates on procurement activities and addressing any procurement-related concerns.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, preferably in construction, engineering, or manufacturing industries.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of procurement processes, contract negotiation, supply chain management, and project requirements in a technical environment.

- Software Proficiency: Proficient in procurement and supply chain management software (SAP, Oracle, MS Excel, etc.).
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for working with suppliers, stakeholders, and team members.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and resolve issues efficiently.
