Inviting applications for the role of Senior Principal Consultant, Senior ETL Developer
We are looking for a Senior ETL Developer with strong expertise in Talend development and ETL migration to lead and support the migration of Talend-based pipelines to Apache HOP. The ideal candidate should have deep experience building enterprise data integration platforms, preferably supporting Kinaxis Maestro or similar supply chain systems, and exposure to AI-assisted migration tools or automation frameworks for accelerating ETL modernization.
This role will work closely with data architects, supply chain teams, and cloud engineers to design scalable integration pipelines and ensure a smooth transition from legacy Talend jobs to Apache HOP workflows.
Responsibilities
ETL Migration & Modernization
.Lead and implement Talend to Apache HOP migration initiatives, including job analysis, redesign, and implementation.
.Convert Talend jobs, transformations, and workflows into Apache HOP pipelines and workflows.
.Analyze existing Talend jobs and optimize them for performance, scalability, and maintainability in HOP.
.Develop automated or semi-automated migration approaches using AI or code conversion tools where possible.
Data Integration & Engineering
.Design and implement data integration pipelines connecting enterprise systems such as SAP S/4HANA, Snowflake, Kinaxis Maestro, and other enterprise applications.
.Build scalable data ingestion and transformation frameworks supporting batch and near-real-time integration.
.Implement data quality validation, error handling, and monitoring frameworks.
Kinaxis Maestro Integration
.Design and maintain data integration layers supporting Kinaxis Maestro.
.Develop pipelines to integrate ERP systems (SAP), data warehouses, and operational systems with Kinaxis.
.Ensure data accuracy, timeliness, and governance across supply chain datasets.
Automation & AI-driven Migration
.Use AI-assisted ETL migration tools or frameworks to accelerate Talend to HOP conversion.
.Participate in building automation utilities or scripts for migration validation and testing.
.Implement metadata-driven ETL design patterns.
Collaboration & Documentation
.Work closely with data architects and business stakeholders to understand integration requirements.
.Document migration strategies, pipeline designs, and data mappings.
.Support testing, validation, and production deployment.
.Relevant years of experience in ETL / Data Engineering
.Strong hands-on experience with Talend Data Integration
.Experience migrating ETL pipelines to Apache HOP, Pentaho, or similar frameworks
.Strong SQL skills with experience in Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar cloud data platforms
.Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA or ERP systems
.Experience building enterprise data integration layers
Supply Chain Integration
.Experience integrating data for Kinaxis Maestro or other supply chain platforms (preferred)
.Understanding of supply chain data models and planning systems
Programming & Tools
.Experience with Python, Java, or scripting languages
.Familiarity with AI-assisted code migration or ETL automation tools
.Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
Cloud & Data Platforms
.Experience with modern data platforms such as:
oSnowflake
oGoogle BigQuery
oAzure Data Platform
.Familiarity with data orchestration tools

.Prior experience in Talend modernization programs

.Exposure to AI-based migration tools or agentic automation frameworks
.Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks
