About the Role

As a Senior Principal Architect, you will be at the forefront of developing the next generation of our industry-leading SaaS lending platform. You'll play a critical role in defining architecture, solving complex challenges, mentoring developers, and leading the technical direction of key projects. This role is perfect for someone passionate about innovation, architecture, and building scalable software in a high-performance team.


What You'll Do

  • Architect and implement scalable back-end services and RESTful APIs using Ruby on Rails.
  • Design and lead complex projects, ensuring architectural integrity, scalability, and reliability.
  • Mentor and guide a team of talented engineers, fostering collaboration and technical growth.
  • Drive performance optimization, scalability strategies, and system reliability improvements.
  • Research emerging technologies and propose practical adoption paths.
  • Participate in the full software lifecycle from concept to deployment.
  • Champion clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to optimize deployment and CI/CD workflows.
  • Build cloud-native solutions with a strong focus on AWS services and infrastructure.


What We're Looking For

  • 6+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails (v5.2+) and Ruby (2.5.1+)
  • Proven experience designing system architecture from product requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership in leading developer teams and optimizing team performance.
  • Solid knowledge of Multithreading, Thread Pooling, Background Jobs, and Scheduled Jobs using Sidekiq, Resque, or similar tools.
  • Strong grasp of Microservices architecture and distributed systems.
  • Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB/Cassandra).
  • Familiarity with RSpec, Cucumber, or similar unit testing frameworks.
  • Deep knowledge of Object-Oriented Design and Metaprogramming in Ruby.
  • Proficiency in Linux/Windows command-line tools and server management.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD (Jenkins), Docker, and AWS cloud services.
  • Proficiency with Git or other version control systems.
