Position Summary

The Pre-Sales Consultant (Cybersecurity) will play a pivotal role in translating complex customer security challenges into scalable, multi-layered technical solutions. This role requires a highly curious technologist who continuously learns and adapts to emerging threats and new security technologies. You will partner closely with sales teams to drive qualification, solution success, and revenue growth by designing robust architectures across SOC, OEM, and managed security service offerings. The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth across cybersecurity and networking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to guide customers toward the right security outcomes in a dynamic, fast-evolving landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify customer security needs and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
  • Deliver technical presentations, demos, and workshops across SIEM, SOAR, XDR, NDR, SSE, NAC, WAF, and SOC services.
  • Design comprehensive security architectures aligned with customer environments, challenges, and business goals.
  • Develop technical proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and Proofs of Concept (PoCs).
  • Support SOC and managed security services pre-sales, including use-case design, onboarding strategies, and SLA definition.
  • Engage with customers to gather detailed technical requirements, compliance needs, and operational expectations.
  • Document meeting notes, action items, and coordinate follow-ups with customers and internal teams through deal closure.
  • Act as a trusted security advisor by recommending best practices and guiding customers on technology adoption.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and OEM product capabilities.
  • Educate sales teams on new technologies, competitive insights, and market developments to strengthen solution positioning.
  • Analyze competitor solutions and articulate differentiators to improve win probability.
  • Participate in proposal development and respond to RFPs/RFIs with accurate, customer-aligned technical content.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Networking, or a related field.
  • 37 years of experience in cybersecurity pre-sales, solution consulting, or technical architecture roles.
  • Hands-on knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, XDR, NDR, NAC, WAF, SSE, SOC operations, and managed security services.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including routing, switching, firewalls, SD-WAN, and VPNs.
  • Experience designing security architectures, delivering PoCs, and conducting technical workshops.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CEH, Security+, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Splunk, Elastic).
  • Experience with MSSPs, cybersecurity consulting, or OEM pre-sales engineering.
  • Working knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Experience defining SOC workflows, use cases, or detection engineering practices.
