For an international project in Chennai, we are urgently looking for a Full Remote Senior Power BI developer with SAP Business Objects version 4.3 knowledge to do reverse engineering to convert SAP BO reports to Power BI.
We are looking for a motivated contractor. Candidates need to be fluent in English.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements and develop reports using Power BI;
- Knowledge of SAP Business Objects client tools (Universe Designer, Webi, Webi Rich Client etc.) and be able to do reverse engineering to convert SAP BO reports to Power BI;
- Work with end users to create reporting templates and mockups;
- Debug and solve problems by tracing from the report all the way to the source;
- Understand how data is gathered, managed, and converted into usable reports within the organization;
- Develop dashboards and visualizations using various dashboard tools (PowerBI or Tableau);
Profile:
- Bachelor or Master degree;
- +8 years of IT experience;
- +5/+7 years of relevant hands-on experience working with BI tools such as Power BI to develop reports, dashboards and perform power BI data modeling;
- Thorough understanding and strong technical experience in using various SAP Business Objects & SAP WeBI features and functions;
- Experience in architecting, modeling, designing, and developing the Business Objects Universes and Reports by using Information Design Tool 4.3 and SAP BO 4.3;
- Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence and current BI trends in the Market (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, and IBM);
- Strong knowledge of SQL to analyze data and asses the generated SQL from a WEBI Report;
- Strong understanding of managing security within the CMC;
- Strong report development background using WEBI and WEBI Rich Client;
- Demonstrate in-depth understanding of Universe concepts such as contexts, aliases, aggregate awareness and other @ functions, navigation paths, filters, business layer views, performance tuning techniques and techniques to resolve traps, universe linking and integration of data;
- Experience with relational, dimensional, multi-dimensional and OLAP techniques & technology;
- Experience with interfaces such as TOAD, SQL Navigator, and SQL Developer;
- Proficiency in developing, troubleshooting complex SQL;
- Fluent in English;
