For an international project in Chennai, we are urgently looking for a Full Remote Senior Power BI Developer. Candidates need to have +5 years of relevant experience in Reporting technologies, including Power BI.
We are looking for a motivated contractor. Candidates need to be fluent in English.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Functional and technical analysis document with proposed solution and delivery timeline for the user story/task;
- Plan, design, develop, test, and deploy the application as per the approved architecture/framework;
- Work closely with the project Architect to get approval on the technical solution for each deliverable;
- Document the user stories, technical details, test cases and test results as per the established process;
Profile:
- Bachelor or Master degree;
- +5 years of relevant experience in Reporting technologies, including Power BI;
- Dashboard & Report Development Expertise in building interactive, user-friendly dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Service;
- Advanced DAX & Data Modeling Capability to understand data models and write advanced DAX measures and calculated columns;
- Strong SQL Skills Develop and optimize complex SQL queries;
- Power Query (M Language) Skilled in data transformation and cleansing using Power Query Editor;
- Import Mode & Direct Query Hands-on experience with both modes, including hybrid models and performance optimization;
- Power BI DevOps Integration Familiar with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for report lifecycle management;
- Version Control & Deployment Pipelines Experience with Git and Power BI deployment pipelines for managing environments (Dev/Test/Prod);
- Database & Data Lake Integration Exposure to SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Azure Data Lake (Gen2) for sourcing data;
- Power BI Service Experience working with workspaces, datasets, dataflows in Power BI Service;
- Performance Tuning & Optimization Using tools like Performance Analyzer and Query Diagnostics to optimize reports and queries;
- Security Implementation Implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS) for data governance;
- Fluent in English;
