Senior Power BI Developer

Vsquare Systems Pvt. Ltd is hiring for Power BI Lead role.

Location: Hybrid Bengaluru/Pune or Remote

Experience: 6+ years

Joining: Immediate joiners preferred

As a Power BI Lead, you will be responsible for building scalable data solutions and delivering business-ready dashboards that drive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

- Write efficient SQL scripts to create datasets tailored for dashboard development.

- Debug and optimize stored procedures to improve performance and efficiency.

- Develop datasets from multiple sources including RDS MySQL, Redshift, Athena, Excel, and CSV files.

- Design and build interactive dashboards using Power BI and other BI tools.

- Create custom calculated fields and KPIs.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and build strong data models.

- Use basic Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation.

- Experience with Databricks and PySpark is a plus.

- Implement data quality checks and maintain data lineage.

- Troubleshoot complex data issues and provide effective resolutions.

- Communicate insights clearly to stakeholders through reports and presentations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 6+ years of overall experience in data and BI roles.

- Strong proficiency in SQL including MySQL, Redshift, and Athena.

- Experience in debugging and optimizing stored procedures.

- Hands-on expertise in Power BI including data modeling, RLS, data binding, Power Query, schema creation, charts, and email alerts.

- Experience with Amazon QuickSight or Tableau is an added advantage.

- Basic Python for data manipulation and analysis.

- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, schema design, and data modeling.

- Experience with AWS cloud services.

- Good knowledge of Snowflake including DWH types, storage concepts, and external tables.
