For an international project in Chennai, we are urgently looking for a Full Remote Senior Power BI Developer to develop Power BI-based corporate reports, Management dashboards, Self-Service reports and visualization analytics to meet the demands of Senior leaders, Management, Data, and Business users reporting analytics.
We are looking for a motivated contractor. Candidates need to be fluent in English.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Build the Dashboard Power BI reports and embed Power BI API reporting analytics;
- Build management reporting, data analytics, and supported data sets using Power BI;
- Build the Dashboard web application and embed Power BI reporting analytics;
- Develop end-to-end data and reporting solutions;
- Create Corporate Reports and dashboards and self-service analytics so that users can easily access and interact with this data in the formats requested;
- Create Power Apps, Power Automate;
- Expert in designing and developing dashboards in Power BI and modeling data required for dashboards using Power query;
- Participating in creating Dashboards and Reports on the front end, with advanced filtering and drill-down capabilities (using Power BI Desktop, experienced with similar visualization tools);
- Define, design, and execute tasks;
- Create custom calculations using various DAX functions;
- Design, Develop, and Publish Power BI Reports and Power BI Dashboard;
- Develop various charts and reports using Power BI Desktop;
- Create various Filters like slicers and hierarchy slicers using Power BI Desktop;
- Create dashboards of reports containing list reports, crosstab reports, and chart reports like bars, columns, and pie charts within a table;
- Create paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder;
- Create and enhance the existing Power BI reports and dashboards;
- Design Power BI Rest APIs and integrate them with internal systems;
- Perform Code optimization and strictly adhere to IFC standards;
- Create Design, Functional/Technical specification documentation, or any artifacts needed;
- Ability to work in an Agile environment and follow best practices;
- Responsible for collaborating with the Team Lead(s) to coordinate project work and deliverables;
- Active involvement needed during release windows and postproduction windows;
- Shall use Azure DevOps to raise the bugs and maintain traceability until completion;
Profile:
- Bachelor or Master degree;
- +6 years of experience in Business Intelligence developments and Microsoft technologies;
- Must have expertise level in MSBI (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS), Power BI Desktop, Power BI Report Builder, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI Rest API, and Power BI embedded;
- Must have strong experience with MS SQL Server and Oracle (19c, 18c, 12c/11g/10g), Postgres Databases;
- Expert SQL & PL/SQL proficiency to conduct data analysis, validations, and discovery;
- Extensive experience in writing complex SQL reports in Oracle, ensuring performance optimization;
- Should have worked on data warehouse and BI technologies;
- Strong experience in Microsoft Azure cloud technologies;
- Must have expertise level in Star Schema and Snowflake Schema methodologies;
- Strong analytical problem-solving ability and Strong interpersonal skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to interact professionally with a diverse group;
- High level of initiative with a proven ability to work independently;
- Acquaintance in full-lifecycle data warehousing projects and underlying components;
- Prior experience building Power BI dashboards and reporting analytics on Cloud platforms;
- Acquaintance with tools like Microsoft Analysis Services and Composite Data Virtualization;
- Familiarity with relational databases and analyzing and performing complex queries;
- Proficiency in systems and data analysis and designing;
- Fluent in English;
