About the jobRVS iGlobal is looking for a dedicated Power BI developer who would be able to construct power BI reports both internally and externally for clients. The builds should be quite interesting and varied with an expectation that the candidate could be client facing and gather the Power BI requirements both internally and externally, convert them into statements of work and technical documentation then complete the builds. We would expect the candidate to be an experienced self-starter who is able to function independently with support from myself on highly technical cases, backlog prioritisation and client relations.

Requirements
Financial Domain Knowledge (Highly Desirable)
- Previous experience building financial reporting dashboards OR working with accounting/finance systems
- Understanding of core financial metrics: gross margin, EBITDA, utilisation, cost-to-serve, project profitability
- Experience with management accounts, customer profitability analysis, divisional P&Ls, or budget variance reporting
- Ability to understand business context behind financial data and identify insights
- Strongly preferred: MSP, professional services, or project-based business experience where billable utilisation and project margins matter
Systems Integration Experience (Highly Desirable)
- Experience integrating accounting platforms (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) with reporting tools
- Experience with PSA tools (Halo, ConnectWise, Autotask, Datto) or similar time tracking/project management systems
- Demonstrated ability to create unified reporting models from multiple data sources
Power BI Technical Skills
- 3-5 years hands-on Power BI development experience
- Advanced DAX: measures, calculated columns, time intelligence, complex calculations
- Power Query: ETL, data transformation, M language
- Data modelling: star schema, relationship management, performance optimisation
- Power BI Service: workspace management, gateway configuration, scheduled refreshes, RLS
- SQL proficiency: T-SQL queries, joins, views, stored procedures
Professional Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication ability to explain technical concepts to finance professionals and financial concepts to technical teams
- Self-starter capable of working independently with Finance Director guidance
- Experience gathering requirements from business stakeholders
Experience & Skills Required
- 5+ years overall BI/Analytics experience with 35 years hands-on Power BI development in production environments.
- Strong experience building financial reporting dashboards (management accounts, P&L, EBITDA, gross margin, utilization, project profitability).
- Advanced DAX, Power Query (M), and data modelling (star schema, performance optimization) plus strong SQL/T-SQL skills.
- Experience integrating accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite with reporting platforms.
- Experience working with PSA/project systems (e.g., ConnectWise, HaloPSA) and building unified reporting models from multiple data sources.
- Ability to translate finance stakeholder requirements into scalable, secure reporting solutions; MSP/professional services experience preferred.
