About the Role
Job responsibilities
- Analyse new requirements and provide impact analysis
- Write clean, well-designed, reusable code and efficient unit tests
- Review and maintain code to ensure high performance
- Follow SOLID principles while building applications
- Troubleshoot, test, and upgrade software and databases
- Integrate new and existing apps with third-party web-based systems
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of software solutions
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working with the LAMP tech stack: Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Perl/Python (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Proven experience in PHP Development
- Experience working with web APIs (REST, SOAP, or XML)
- Strong knowledge of accessibility standards, web standards, and browser compatibility
- Fluency in English for effective communication
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
Preferred skills
- Proficient with MVC architectural pattern
- Knowledge of object-oriented scripting and DBMS concepts
- Working knowledge of Perl and Python programming languages
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
