Senior Backend Developer (Laravel, Node.js, WebSockets)

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Backend Developer to lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance backend systems using Laravel (PHP), Node.js, and WebSocket technologies. This role involves architecting real-time applications, optimizing system performance, along with web development responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Laravel and Node.js
• Design and implement real-time features using WebSockets (Socket.IO, Laravel Echo, Pusher, etc.)
• Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
• Lead backend system design decisions and ensure best practices
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
• Implement secure authentication and authorization systems (JWT, OAuth)
• Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend, DevOps, and product teams
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards
• Manage database architecture, performance tuning, and query optimization
• Oversee deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend development experience
• Strong expertise in PHP (Laravel framework)
• Advanced experience with Node.js
• Proven experience building real-time systems using WebSockets
• Deep understanding of API design, microservices, and distributed systems
• Strong experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Experience with Redis, caching, and queue systems
• Proficiency in Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
