Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to develop designs, conduct calculations, and select appropriate equipment and systems for installation.
- Carry out detailed engineering design for piped water supply and drainage systems (above and below ground).
- Design public health and fire protection services, preparing layouts, schematics, schedules, specifications, and details.
- Draft technical schedules and specifications, and organize/manage BIM documentation.
- Represent the discipline in client meetings and ensure service and project work is completed on time and within budget.
- Prepare briefing documentation for water, drainage, and fire protection systems for outsourcing design to approved delivery suppliers.
- Critically review building services documentation at all design stages (concept to construction) and provide design guidance.
- Demonstrate proficiency in sustainable plumbing and fire protection system design, including hydraulics, piping systems, pumps, and equipment.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure project coordination and timely delivery.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineering staff, providing training to maintain project quality standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 812 years of experience in building services design engineering.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in public health (PHE) and fire protection system design is mandatory.
- Strong responsibility and independence in a team-based organization.
- Broad building design knowledge across multiple project types.
- Working knowledge of Indian standards and electrical/mechanical integration in building systems.
- Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, IES, and Hevacomp.
- Advanced Excel skills, including macros.
- Awareness of architectural, structural, and civil engineering interfaces.
