About the Role
We're looking for a Senior PeopleSoft Developer who combines deep PeopleCode expertise with modern integration, automation, and observability experience. This is not a maintenance role; it's an opportunity to help shape how PeopleSoft evolves in the cloud era. You'll work with a skilled team of admins, developers, and architects modernizing PeopleSoft through OpenSearch, CI/CD, and cloud-native practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain complex PeopleSoft applications across multiple modules (CS and Finance).
- Build and optimize PeopleCode, Application Engine, App Packages, and Component Interfaces for scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Develop, publish, and consume REST and SOAP web services using Integration Broker; support API-driven integrations.
- Configure and extend Fluid UI components, leveraging Page and Field Configurator, Event Mapping, and Drop Zones.
- PeopleSoft branding and front end UI development
- Automate testing with the PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF)
- Diagnose and tune performance across tiers, including Application Engine, SQL, PeopleCode, and Web/App domains.
- Implement and optimize OpenSearch Framework, including search definitions, indexing, and custom dashboards.
- Collaborate with DBAs, administrators, and architects to improve performance, security, and deployment automation.
- Partner with cloud and DevOps teams to support deployments in GCP, leveraging Terraform, Chef, or Ansible for automation.
Required Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of professional PeopleSoft development experience
- Advanced proficiency with PeopleCode, App Engine, Application Packages, Component Interfaces, and File Layouts
- Strong understanding of Integration Broker, including service operations, message queues, and routing
- Experience designing and supporting Fluid UI applications
- Proven success building and consuming REST/SOAP web services
- Deep experience with PTF scripting and automation
- Strong SQL and performance-tuning skills across App Engine and database tiers
- Practical experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, PeopleSoft Search Framework, and PeopleSoft Performance Monitor
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control (GitLab, GitHub, or similar)
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts (VMs, containers, load balancing, storage, etc.) in GCP or OCI environments
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to debug complex multi-tier issues
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Prometheus, or Grafana
- Experience with Phire for PeopleSoft object migration
- Exposure to Terraform and Chef for automation and configuration management
- Understanding of DevSecOps, secure coding, or automated compliance checks
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
