What are we looking for
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Sr Payroll Specialist to enable payroll and data management, ensuring smooth HR operations processes and exceptional employee experience. This role requires a responsible, proactive, and data-driven professional with strong attention to detail, capable of handling sensitive information and driving accuracy across payroll, reporting, and compliance functions.
What will you be responsible for
I. Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Manage monthly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy in attendance, leaves, overtime, bonuses, other payments and statutory deductions.
- Maintain updated employee information related to benefits and compensation.
- Liaise with Finance and external payroll vendors to ensure timely and error-free disbursement of salaries and statutory payments.
- Ensure compliance with local labor, tax, and statutory requirements (social security, insurance, etc.
- Oversee the benefits company-wide and coordinate with the different vendors for the yearly renewals.
- Manage and approve expenses reimbursements in a timely manner to ensure disbursements with the monthly payroll.
- Manage the end-to-end ESOP process, including the documentation, offline exercising and maintain the Carta platform up to date.
Primary tools include:
- HR & Payroll Platforms: JustWorks, Deel, RazorPay, Carta, BambooHR, 15Five, Asana, Insightful, Plum, Zomato, Bupa, SunLife.
- Operational & Productivity Tools: Slack, Google Workspace, Atlassian,1Password, HubSpot, Microsoft 365 Admin Centre
II. Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR databases, employee files, and systems (e.g., HRIS, attendance, and leave management).
- Generate and analyse HR and payroll-related reports (headcount, turnover, attendance, compensation analysis, and other KPIs).
- Support internal and external audits by providing the required HR data and documentation.
III. HR Operations & Employee Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries related to payroll, benefits, and policies, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Coordinate business trips, including flights, accommodation and insurance for individual or group business trips, ensuring the processes and policies are followed thoroughly and budgets are met.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and implement automation or efficiency initiatives.
IV. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, internal policies, and company procedures.
- Manage and safeguard confidential employee data and records.
- Prepare official HR correspondence, reports, and presentations as needed.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, HRIS systems, and data management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Prior experience working across time zones or with international teams is a must.
- Ability to drive positive employee relations and monitor organisational health.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, accountant, or a related field is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in HR Operations / Payroll Administration roles.
- Prior experience in a multinational or mid-size corporate environment is preferred.
- Solid understanding of HR compliance, payroll cycles, and reporting processes.
