Job Description

Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and analytical payroll professional to be our APAC Payroll Specialist. In this role, the right candidate will provide exceptional support to our APAC employees and key stakeholder groups by ensuring all employees are paid accurately, on time, and compliantly. We trust each other to do our best work where it works best for us and our teams, and this role can be performed remotely in most locations in the country of employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with key stakeholders and outsourced payroll providers in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll.
  • Review preliminary payroll calculations, communicate any corrections, and prepare payrolls for sign-off.
  • Liaise with payroll providers to ensure all statutory filings are completed, both monthly and annually.
  • Prepare NET salary payments, statutory payments and work with Cash Management to ensure funding is in place across APAC entities.
  • Work closely with the APAC Payroll Accounting team for Month and QTR end.
  • Provide exceptional worker experience by resolving cases in line with SLAs.
  • Continuously work with the Employment Tax team to ensure compliance, both for existing processes and ongoing projects.
  • Drive process improvement using metrics and reports from the ticketing system.
  • Participate in Global Payroll initiatives to drive process improvement and enhance customer experience.
  • Continuously work with key stakeholders on cross-functional projects.

Requirements:

  • Degree in finance/accounting or related discipline.
  • 5 years of India payroll processing experience. Payroll experience in managing any of these countries is a plus: Singapore, Australia, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Dubai.
  • 5 years of experience in handling multiple countries payroll concepts and tax withholding compliance obligations, including salary schemes and tax allowances.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experienced user of Workday or another HCM Tool.
  • Experienced user of Service Now or another CRM tool.
  • User experience with the Streamline tool.
  • Knowledge of equity processing, e.g., RSU, Stock Options, and Share Purchase Programmes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines.
  • High volume payroll processing.
  • Strong organizational skills, meticulous, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Analytical and highly organized, with the ability to work within tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, focused on accuracy, and proactive.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of accuracy and urgency.
  • Good analytical ability and proficiency with Excel.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
  • Multi-national, Expat payroll, and equity compensation experience is a plus.
