For an international project in Chennai, we are urgently looking for a Full Remote Senior Oracle / Postgres DB Developer. This position is for a highly motivated, driven candidate with a passion for data analysis and database development, with experience focused on complex data transformation and migration.
We are looking for a motivated contractor. Candidates need tbe fluent in English.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Data Migration strategy;
- Development of Logical & Physical DB models;
- Development of DB tables, Stored procedures, scripts, Data migration scripts and reconciliation reports as required;
- Unit Testing;
- Defects fixes in QA & UAT;
- Deployment in production;
Profile:
- Bachelor or Master degree;
- +8 years of relevant experience working with databases like Oracle, SQL and Postgres with specialized experience in Data migration for highly complex applications;
- Experience in strategizing & implementing, large data migration using scripts & data migration / transformation tools;
- Design solutions to migrate data across different databases;
- Excellent speaking, listening, and writing skills, with attention to detail;
- Proactive self-starter, able to deliver in tight timelines, and make adjustments for fast-paced changing priorities;
- Implement and maintain PostgreSQL database code in the form of stored procedures, scripts, queries, views, triggers, etc;
- Implement effective and maintainable database coding practices that form an architectural foundation;
- Analyze existing SQL query and PLPG/SQL code for performance improvements;
- Develop functions, PL/SQL statements and stored procedures PostgreSQL to maintain business logic;
- Hands-on experience with Azure Database for PostgreSQL and Azure Key Vault for secure credential management;
- Familiarity with Azure Web API, Azure Functions, and Azure AD authentication for secure data access;
- Design relational logical data models and their physical schema design;
- Investigates, troubleshoots, and corrects data and user-related system errors;
- Fluent in English;
