Role Summary
The Oracle Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting Oracle-based applications, reports, interfaces, and database solutions. The role involves working closely with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions within Oracle environments (EBS / Fusion / Database).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and customize Oracle Applications (Forms, Reports, Interfaces, Extensions)
- Write and optimizePL/SQL, SQL queries, packages, procedures, and triggers
- Design and develop reports usingOracle Reports / BI Publisher / XML Publisher
- Build inbound and outbound interfaces (APIs, Web Services, FTP integrations)
- Support data migration and conversion activities
- Perform performance tuning and query optimization
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical support
- Collaborate with functional consultants for requirement analysis
- Maintain technical documentation and deployment scripts
Technical Skills Required
- Strong experience inOracle SQL & PL/SQL
- Oracle EBS Technical (R12 preferred)
- Oracle Forms & Reports
- BI Publisher / XML Publisher
- APIs & Interface development
- Workflow customizations (optional)
- Performance tuning & debugging
- Unix/Linux basics (shell scripting)
- Version control tools (optional)
Preferred Experience
- 8+ years of Oracle development experience
- Experience in modules such as:
- Financials (AP, AR, GL)
- SCM
- Order Management
- Trade Management (if applicable)
- Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud (optional)
- Understanding of database design principles
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering or related field
