Oracle Forms Developer | Senior Software Engineer (Oracle )

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Oracle Forms Developer to join our ERP team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain Oracle Forms and Reports applications that support critical business operations. You will collaborate with business analysts, DBAs, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions across our Oracle E-Business Suite environment.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Implementation

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle Forms (minimum 10g) 10g/11g applications and Oracle Reports
• Develop PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers to support business logic
• Integrate Oracle Forms with Oracle Database, APIs, and third-party systems

Technical & Support Activities

• Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning of existing Forms/Reports
• Migrate Oracle Forms applications across versions and environments
• Provide production support and resolve incidents related to Oracle Forms applications
• Maintain technical documentation including design specifications and user guides
• Participate in unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and UAT cycles

Collaboration

• Work closely with functional consultants and business users to gather and translate requirements
• Coordinate with DBAs for schema design, indexing strategies, and query optimization
• Contribute to Agile/SDLC processes including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Hands-on experience in Oracle Forms and Reports development (minimum Oracle Forms/Reports 10g version).
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Database 11g, 12c, and 19c environments.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports development
• Strong proficiency in PL/SQL (stored procedures, packages, triggers, cursors)
• Working knowledge of SQL tuning, database performance, and indexing
• Experience with Oracle Developer Suite (Forms Builder, Reports Builder)
• Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodology
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle WebLogic Server and Forms Services configuration
• Experience in upgrading Oracle Forms and Reports applications to higher versions, preferably Oracle Forms 14g
• Competent experience in Oracle EBS – Inventory (INV) module.
• Competent experience in Oracle EBS – Order Management (OM) module.
• Knowledge of BI Publisher for report development
• Oracle certification (OCP, OCA, or equivalent) is an advantage
• Exposure to Oracle Fusion or Cloud Applications migration projects
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN)
• Experience with XML/XSLT and web services (REST/SOAP)
