About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Operational Risk Specialist


In this role, you will:

  • Manage the development, implementation, and monitoring of a risk-based program for a business or large functional area with moderate to high risk to identify, assess and mitigate operational risk that arises from inadequate or failed internal processes, people, systems, or external events

  • Maintain a balance between risk mitigation and operational efficiency

  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, systems, and internal controls

  • Analyze business and system changes to determine impact, assess operational risk issues, and assign risk ratings consistent with established policy standards

  • Provide operational risk expertise and consulting to complex business units for initiatives with high risk

  • Design and develop testing strategies, methodologies and analyses

  • Consult with the business to develop corrective action plans and effectively manage change

  • Identify training opportunities

  • Design and coordinate the development of training materials and coordinate or deliver training

  • Report findings and develop business cases to influence management on the need for controls to mitigate risk

  • Manage and coordinate production of periodic operational risk performance reports for management, including trend research and recommended strategies

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Operational Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Perform independent UAT testing, including facilitation, execution, documentation, and escalation of exceptions
  • Support BAU UAT testing activities across releases, enhancements, and defect fixes
  • Execute endtoend testing and data validation for system releases
  • Perform postdeployment production validation and highlevel data checks
  • Support access management activities (AIMS & ORP), including periodic execution and validation
  • Assist stakeholders with Operational Risk Events and related system or data validation activities
  • Participate in scrum ceremonies, release coordination calls, and PO connects as required
  • Support BCP exercises, including execution, documentation, and validation
  • Work effectively across a matrixed organization and multiple time zones, partnering with business, technology, and USbased stakeholders
  • 4+ years of experience in operational risk management, compliance, audit, business process management, or the financial services industry
  • Direct experience supporting UAT, system validation, or risk technology platforms
  • Ability to assess the accuracy and relevance of information to support conclusions and issue escalation
  • Resultsoriented mindset with a strong focus on quality, timeliness, and execution discipline
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a dynamic BAU and releasedriven environment
  • Experience working with stakeholders across geographies or regions
  • Strong organizational skills proficiency in Microsoft tools effective verbal and written communication skill
  • University degree in Finance, Risk Management, or a related discipline
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
  • Experience working with risk systems, testing cycles, or release management processes
  • Demonstrated ability to work with crossfunctional teams to resolve issues and support delivery
  • Prior exposure to Wells Fargo systems, risk frameworks, or operational risk processes

Job Expectations:

  • Work Location: Hyderabad / Bangalore
  • Shift Timings: 1:30 PM - 10:30 PM
  • Deliver 100% quality and SLA compliance on executions.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adjust to changing priorities.
