Purpose
This role is responsible for supervising and managing pharmaceutical packaging operations to ensure products are packed according to approved Batch Packaging Records (BPR), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and regulatory requirements. The role ensures packaging efficiency, product quality, and compliance with company procedures.

Job Responsibilities / Deliverables
- Packaging Operations Management
- Supervise primary and secondary packaging operations of pharmaceutical products.
- Ensure packaging activities are performed as per approved Batch Packaging Records (BPR).
- Monitor packaging lines to ensure correct product, batch number, and labelling.
- Ensure adherence to packaging schedules and production targets.
- Line Clearance & Setup
- Perform and verify line clearance before starting packaging operations.
- Ensure proper machine setup, changeover, and cleaning between batches.
- Verify correct packaging materials before use.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of Batch Packaging Records (BPR).
- Maintain logbooks, equipment records, and packaging registers.
- Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and GMP guidelines.
- Assist during internal and external audits.
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance (QA) for in-process checks and approvals.
- Identify and report deviations, non-conformances, and quality issues.
- Team Supervision
- Supervise packaging operators and helpers on the packaging line.
- Provide training on SOPs, safety, and GMP practices.
- Ensure proper discipline and workflow in the packaging area.
- Equipment & Maintenance
- Ensure proper operation of packaging machines (blister, bottle filling, labelling, cartoning, etc.).
- Coordinate with Engineering/Maintenance for equipment breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure machines are used according to standard operating procedures.
- Safety & Housekeeping
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the packaging area.
- Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
- Implement 5S practices in the packaging department.

B. Pharm / M. Pharm
