Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 36 years of hands-on experience in processing USA and Canada payroll.
  • Experience in payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, Ceridian, UKG, or similar platforms.
  • Master Degree/Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) preferred.

Key Responsibilities

North America (i. e. USA & Canada) Payroll & Accounting. This position requires to work in line with US shift timings (currently it is 3:15pm IST to 12:45am IST)

Hands on experience of Global Payroll Function E2E i. e. Payroll Inputs Consolidation, Payroll Processing, Payroll related Accounting, Payroll related Payments & Remittances, Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly Reporting & Filing, Handling Employee Queries & Escalations, Year-End Closures, Issuance of Year-End Certificates, all day today operations and all Payroll related Compliances.

  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely, including wage, overtime payments, Garnishments, Social Security Agreements (COC's/A1s), ESOP's calculating & recording payroll deductions, reconciliations, reporting's & filings, etc
  • Working on Bi-Weekly/month-end & period closing activities, creation of accruals/provision & reversals, Employee salary advance & staff loan accounting and tracking for recovery, Handling employee No-Due-Clearance, Final settlement accounting, Prepare reports based on pay registers to cater requirements from Internal & External Stakeholders including auditors, Preparation of Payroll MIS and schedules, Month end cost variance analysis, SL vs GL reconciliation / ARP.
  • Manage Payroll related systems , automations/enhancements/RPAs etc
  • Manage all kinds of Audits Authority audits, Statutory Audits, Internal Audits, Maturity Audits etc
  • Manage & be part of all Company's strategic initiatives.

Required Skills

Accounting - Strong Accounting Knowledge is MUST. Should be very clear in Accounting Principles and concepts.

MS-Excel - Should be strong in MS-Excel and its functionalities, ability to apply advance formulas.

Domain Knowledge North America Payroll related Acts/Norms/Procedures/Practices related to Payroll covering Taxes, Social Securities, Over Time, Insurance, Leave, Employer paid benefits, all other labor related aspects covering both Employee and Employer front.

Communication - Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.

Other Soft skills related aspects - Strong work ethic and team player, High degree of professionalism, positive attitude, Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material, Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills, Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills, Capability of development of the team, Ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines.
