What We Are Looking For

We are seeking an experienced, accountable Senior Network Operations Engineer (Level 3) to deliver advanced support, manage technical escalations, and take operational ownership across cloud, data centre, and on-premises network environments. The ideal candidate brings strong MSP experience and deep technical expertise in Microsoft Azure networking, Cisco and Cisco Meraki, Aruba Networks, Palo Alto and Sophos firewalls.

You will be expected to drive SLA-based outcomes, ensure adherence to operational standards, and maintain the quality-of-service obligations delivered under Byte's Service Catalogue.

In addition, you will mentor junior engineers, contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives, and participate in an after-hours roster as part of Major Incident Management and technical escalation coverage.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Act as the escalation point for all network-related incidents (P1 & P2) and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across cloud, data centre, and on-premises environments.
  • Address and fulfil network-related service requests in line with SLAs and operational standards.
  • Take end-to-end operational ownership of network stability, performance, and availability.
  • Perform network device maintenance, patch management, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities.
  • Proactively monitor network health, respond to alerts, and implement preventative remediation measures.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents and drive permanent corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to change, incident, and problem management processes and governance standards.
  • Support customer onboarding activities, including network design review and documentation, implementation, and transition to operations.
  • Create and maintain Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs) to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate ticket updates and adherence to Byte toolset processes, governance, and Byte's Way standards.
  • Provide technical mentoring and guidance to support engineers and operational teams.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive engagement, transparent updates, and effective issue resolution.
  • Conduct network assessments, audits, and performance reviews to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Stay up to date with emerging networking technologies, security practices, and industry trends.

Work Model and Shift Hours

  • Full-time, remote role
  • 42 hours per week, operating on a 24/7 rotating roster
  • 5 working days per week with a MondaySunday rotation
  • Rotating shift schedule, including occasional night shifts
  • Occasional after-hours work as part of incident and escalation support
  • Shift Timings (India Time):
  • 06:00 am 14:00 pm
  • 14:00 pm 22:00 pm
  • 22:00 pm 06:00 am
