What Success Looks Like In This Role
Configure, Install & Troubleshoot various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including patches, hot fixes and security configuration.
Provide Level - 2/3 support to resolve incidents.
Plan and implement network changes as per change management process.
Ensure successful completion of change requests and extensive validation to ensure business critical services are functioning properly.
Design and implement Network infrastructure (LAN & Wireless).
Implement best practices in Network.
Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
Mentor team members on technical issues
Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability
You will be successful in this role if you have:
6+ years of experience in core network domain.
Hands on experience on multiple vendor network devices (Cisco, HP, Aruba) including DC Routers, Cisco nexus series switches
Knowledge of carrier technologies such as Ethernet services, point to point, point to multipoint connectivity as well as ability to work with carriers for troubleshooting purpose.
In-depth knowledge of Public clouds such as MS Azure or AWS.
In-depth knowledge of routers, switches, Wireless LAN controllers, Access Points, Provider-1; EIGRP/BGP/VRF routing concepts, Fabric Path, IP/ARP/MAC/Spanning-tree issues and configurations, troubleshooting VLAN or physical connectivity for servers and other devices, troubleshooting access-list, NAT issues and CISCO ISE
Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS)
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Good experience in one or more large technical environments, high complexity environments, or highly specialized environments.
Professional level certifications desirable (e.g. CCNP, CCDP)
