Role Purpose
The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of our company's network infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of networking technologies, strong leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to ensuring network reliability and security. The Senior Network Engineer will collaborate with other departments, and implement best practices to optimize network performance.
Responsibilities We Entrust You With
- Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, firewalls, load balancers hubs, switches, UPSs, and other hardware
- Design, implement, and support firewalls, site-to-site VPNs, and remote-access VPNs
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast.
- Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
- Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
- design and implement new solutions and improve resilience of the current environment
- Configure, tests, and maintains LAN/WAN equipment and related services
- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning, network traffic for any anomalies, security breaches and respond in a timely manner
- Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
- Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
- report network operational status by gathering and prioritising information and managing projects
- Hands on experience with equipment from Paloalto, Fortinet and Cisco
- Excellent understanding of technologies, operating systems, networking, anti-virus, back-ups, systems and firewalls
- Arranging scheduled upgrades to switches/Firewall firmware's
- Investigating faults in the network
- Maintain 99.99 uptime SLA for Head office & Production Networks
- Support 24x7 Operations
- Maintain vigilant oversight of the entire network and adopt a proactive approach to identify potential issues

- Graduate
- Networking certification
Skills and experience:
- Experience: 3 to 8 Years
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field
- Cisco certifications, CCNA, CCNP added advantages
- Experience on Cisco L2/L3 Switches is must
- Experience on FortiGate Firewallis must
- Knowledge on Active Domain Controller is must
