Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to contribute to and help lead multiple Network Engineering initiatives and complex infrastructure projects. The role involves solution design, development, testing, integration, and support of enterprise-grade network platforms.

The candidate will play a critical role in ensuring performance, scalability, security, and operational excellence across the organization's network infrastructure.

Project / Initiative Summary

The selected candidate will work on large-scale network engineering initiatives involving:

• Design and development of complex enterprise network solutions
• LAN/WAN strategy planning and implementation
• Network modernization including SD-WAN, Wireless, NAC, and Security integration
• Infrastructure optimization and compliance alignment (UHG IT & HIPAA standards)

Key Responsibilities

Daily & Ongoing Responsibilities:

• Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and risk assessments
• Design and develop LAN/WAN strategies aligned with business requirements
• Evaluate, select, implement, and integrate networking hardware and software solutions
• Perform after-hours system support, installations, upgrades, and maintenance
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network infrastructure issues
• Coordinate with hardware and software vendors for advanced technical support
• Conduct implementations, upgrades, and conversions within maintenance windows following change management procedures
• Ensure compliance with UHG IT standards, HIPAA regulations, and industry best practices
• Perform IT security risk assessments and implement remediation plans
• Maintain and author technical documentation including detailed network diagrams
• Advise and mentor team members to ensure maximum performance and availability
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Participate in on-call support rotation

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in engineering and related field.
