Location: Hyderabad

Exp: 10+ years

Shift : Night Shift (US Shift - 7:30 pm to 4:30 am IST)

Skills: OSPF, BGP, Fortinet & FortiGate firewalls, AWS, Azure cloud, SD-WAN

NP: Immediate or Serving NP

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Network Operations & Troubleshooting

• Act as an individual contributor handling day-to-day BAU network operations without handholding.
• Perform deep troubleshooting across firewalls, switches, SD-WAN, cloud networks, and routing issues.
• Manage routing transitions from static routing toOSPFandBGPacross data center, branch, and cloud environments.
• Work with peers and vendors for escalation but be able to independently diagnose and resolve issues.

Network Architecture & Projects

• Support majornetwork consolidation projects, including:
• Hardware replacements
• Subnetting redesign
• Segmentation and block-policy implementations
• Participate in designing new network layout, routing models, and cloud extensions.
• Assist in integrating AWS/Azure environments with SD-WAN and BGP/OSPF-based routing.
• Support the expansion of SD-WAN (Versa) across sites and cloud gateways.

Cloud Networking

• Configure and maintain networking components in:
• AWS (VPCs, BGP, routing, transit gateways)
• Azure (VNets, routing, firewalls)
• Work with cloud teams to ensure consistent routing, segmentation, and security posture across hybrid environments.

Vendor Technologies & Tooling

• Operate within a primary vendor stack:
• Fortinet FortiGate firewalls
• FortiSwitches / Forti network ecosystem
• Versa SD-WAN
• Extreme Switches and wireless
• Help improve configurations, optimize deployment patterns, and introduce best practices based on prior experience.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

• Contribute to high-quality documentation for network sites, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Ensure newcomers, peers, and engineers can easily understand the environment using your documentation.

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with senior engineers and architecture teams.
• Support remote and onsite teams when network issues arise.
• Provide occasional onsite presence (12 days/week when required).

Required Skills & Experience

Core Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience withRouting Protocols OSPF and BGP.
• Experience withfirewalls, switches, and security policies.
• Good understanding ofsubnetting, segmentation, route design, and TCP/IP fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience withFortinet FortiGatefirewalls (must-have).
• Working knowledge ofSD-WAN(Versa experience is a strong plus).
• Cloud networking experience in:
• AWS(BGP integration, routing, connectivity)
• Azure(VNet design, routing)

Troubleshooting & Operations

• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex network issues across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Experience supporting multi-site enterprise networks.

Experience Level

• 7+years of hands-on network engineering experience (flexible based on capability).
• Prior ownership of end-to-end network tasks rather than ticket-driven L1/L2 support.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification(s):
• Fortinet NSE4/NSE5
• CCNA/CCNP (or equivalent routing/switching certifications)
• AWS/Azure cloud certifications (nice to have)
• Prior experience with:
• Large-scale network transitions or consolidation
• Multi-region cloud network designs
• Fortinet + Versa SD-WAN deployments
