Senior Network Engineer - Network Operations & Infrastructure responsible for design, implementation, and 24/7 operation of enterprise network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wireless) with focus on operational excellence, automation, and high availability.
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :Experience: 7+ years in Senior Network Engineering roles with enterprise-scale infrastructure and ITIL framework.
Technical Expertise:• Infrastructure: Cisco routers/switches, SD-WAN, Juniper Firewall, WAN, enterprise firewalls, Cisco/Mist Wireless Controllers, AWS Cloud
• Automation: Linux administration, Ansible, PERL/Python scripting, Apache, MySQL
• Protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DNS, DHCP, QoS, LISP, EVPN
Core Competencies:Highly autonomous, strong communication skills, excellent project and time management, analytical problem-solving
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Network Operations & Monitoring (24/7 Support)• Monitor and respond to WAN/LAN/Wireless alarms and incidents
• Troubleshoot SD-WAN, firewalls, switches, wireless controllers, and routing protocols
• Provide advanced root cause analysis for complex network issues
• Coordinate with Field IT, Engineering teams, and external vendors
• Ensure service continuity and resolve interruptions promptly
2. Incident & Problem Management (ITIL Framework)• Work tickets within defined SLAs with accurate documentation and work summaries
• Manage ticket handovers for 24/7 operations, ensuring continuity
• Identify recurring issues and initiate problem management processes
• Escalate operational issues and track to resolution
• Implement lessons learned to prevent future incidents
3. Change & Configuration Management • Create change tickets for network modifications during maintenance windows (weekends/after-hours)
• Manage configurations using Python/Ansible automation
• Implement changes through orchestration solutions
• Maintain configuration version control and documentation
4. Operational Excellence & Automation • Drive projects to improve network quality and reliability
• Review and implement network automation solutions
• Work with internal customers to meet evolving demands
• Optimize network performance continuously
5. Reporting & Analysis • Prepare monthly reports: ticket volume, trends, MTTR, root cause analysis, closure codes
• Conduct deep dive analysis on recurring/escalated events
• Present findings during Weekly Business Review (WBR) and Monthly Business Review (MBR)
• Provide process improvement recommendations
• Lead weekly calls with Engineering teams to track case progress
PERFORMANCE METRICS • SLA compliance and MTTR reduction
• Network uptime and availability
• Ticket quality and documentation accuracy
• Reduction in recurring incidents
• Successful project delivery and automation implementation
