Certifications: CCIE (Enterprise / Data Center) and/or Arista ACE-P and/or PCNSE (Palo Alto) and/or Fortinet NSE4, and/or Zabbix Certified Specialist and/or ITIL Foundation.

Role Description:

The role involves end-to-end responsibility for core data center network infrastructure,

including design, deployment, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

You'll work closely with L1/L2 teams, manage escalations, and collaborate with

architecture and security teams to maintain a highly available, secure, and scalable network

fabric.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L3-level support for the data center network, covering routing, switching,

security, and automation.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues at packet level using tools like Wireshark,

CloudVision, or Zabbix.

• In depth knowledge on BGP is must.
• Design, configure, and optimize Arista-based VXLAN/EVPN fabrics and multi-vendor

Layer 2/3 architectures.

• Manage and maintain Palo Alto and FortiGate firewalls, including NAT, VPNs, and

security policies.

• Oversee configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning via Zabbix, LibreNMS,

and Arista CloudVision.

• Implement redundancy and high availability using MLAG, HSRP/VRRP, and ECMP.
• Collaborate with L1/L2 teams for incident escalation, RCA, and knowledge transfer.
• Develop and enforce network security standards and compliance policies.
• Document configurations, SOPs, and troubleshooting workflows for operational

excellence.

• Participate in capacity planning, change management (ITIL), and network audits.
• Coordinate with vendors for RMA, upgrades, and feature enhancement discussions.
• Stay current with emerging technologies like SDN, network automation, and hybrid

cloud networking.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on expertise in Layer 2 / Layer 3 networking, including VLANs, STP,

OSPF, BGP, VRF, VXLAN, and EVPN.

• Proficiency in Arista EOS (MLAG, VXLAN/EVPN, CloudVision) Arista preferred.
• n-depth experience with Palo Alto and FortiGate firewalls policy creation, VPN

configuration, and routing integration.

• Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, including:
• Zabbix (alerting, custom triggers, API integration, REST API-based monitoring)

LibreNMS / SolarWinds / Wireshark / NetFlow analyzers

• Expertise in packet-level troubleshooting using Wireshark or CloudVision, with

strong understanding of the TCP/IP stack.

• Experience managing large-scale, redundant, and segmented data center networks

with security segmentation and micro-segmentation.

• Familiarity with SDN / ACI / NSX or multi-vendor fabric orchestration platforms.
• Awareness of cloud networking concepts such as AWS VPC, Azure VNet, and hybrid

network integrations.

• Strong background in automation and orchestration, using Ansible, Python scripting,

Git, and CI/CD pipelines for configuration, reporting, and infrastructure

management.

• Experience with change, incident, and problem management under the ITIL

framework.

• Strong analytical, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills.
