Job Summary
We are looking for a Network Automation Engineer with strong networking fundamentals and hands-on Python-based automation experience. The role focuses on automating network operations, configuration, and troubleshooting across enterprise and data-center networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain network automation solutions
- Automate network configuration, provisioning, and validation tasks
- Troubleshoot complex network issues across routing, switching, and security layers
- Work closely with network operations and security teams to improve reliability and efficiency
- Develop reusable scripts and tools for network monitoring and compliance
- Support production networks and participate in incident resolution
Networking Skills (Mandatory)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP and OSI model
- Routing & Switching:
- BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
- VLANs, STP, VRRP / HSRP
- Network Services:
- DNS, DHCP, NTP
- Hands-on experience with network devices:
- Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Palo Alto (or similar vendors)
- Network Security fundamentals:
- Firewalls, ACLs, VPNs, NAT
Programming & Automation Skills (Must-Have)
- Python (mandatory):
- Strong knowledge of data structures and modules
- Experience with virtual environments
- Working knowledge of:
- REST APIs
- JSON, YAML, XML
- Basic scripting knowledge:
- Bash / Shell (good to have)
Required Experience
- 48 years of experience in Networking / Network Automation
- Hands-on experience automating network devices and services
- Experience in enterprise or data-center network environments
Good to Have
- Experience with Ansible, Netmiko, NAPALM, or similar tools
- Exposure to CI/CD for network automation
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS / Azure)
- Understanding of monitoring and logging tools
