Job Title: Senior .NET Backend Engineer
Role Summary
The Senior .NET Backend Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using the Microsoft .NET ecosystem while collaborating with front-end teams building applications in React. The role requires strong expertise in C#, SQL-based data systems, and cloud-native deployments on Azure.
The engineer will also lead backend development efforts, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure secure, high-performance systems supporting modern web applications.
Key Responsibilities :
Backend Development
- Develop scalable backend services using C# and the .NET ecosystem.
- Build RESTful APIs and microservices for integration with modern front-end applications.
- Implement asynchronous programming, middleware, and dependency injection patterns.
Front-End Collaboration
- Work closely with front-end teams building applications using React.
- Ensure efficient API design and seamless integration between backend services and user interfaces.
Database Development
- Design, develop, and optimize relational databases using Microsoft SQL Server.
- Implement data access layers using Entity Framework Core.
- Optimize database queries and performance for large-scale enterprise applications.
Cloud & DevOps
- Deploy and manage applications on Microsoft Azure.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments using tools such as Azure DevOps and Git-based repositories.
Team Collaboration
- Lead backend development activities and mentor junior engineers.
- Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and product teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Participate in code reviews and enforce development best practices.
Documentation & Governance
- Maintain technical documentation including system design and deployment guides.
- Ensure adherence to security, performance, and coding standards.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in C# and the .NET ecosystem.
- Experience building APIs using ASP.NET Core / .NET Framework.
- Strong front-end collaboration experience with React JS.
- Strong expertise in SQL and relational database design.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
Additional Technical Skills
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Experience with Entity Framework Core and query optimization.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub).
- Experience with asynchronous programming and dependency injection in .NET.
Collaboration Skills
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams including frontend, DevOps, QA, and product management.
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
