Senior MS Engineer - Linux

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience designing and building web environments on AWS, which includes working with services like EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, Lambda, Security Group and auto scaling
• Storage Management blob / table / file
• Knowledge of devops tool
• Experience using monitoring solutions like CloudWatch, ELK Stack, and Prometheus
• Designing and deploying enterprise-wide scalable operations on Cloud Platforms
• Implementing cost-control strategies
• Knowledge of scripting language
• Good hands-on experience on installation and configuration of servers/VMs and infrastructure services (DNS/DHCP/File service/ AD etc.)
• Knowledge of client/server and virtual technologies
• Proficient on network principles and protocols such as IP subnetting, routing, firewall rules, Virtual Private Cloud, Load Balancer, Cloud DNS, Cloud CDN,
• Knowledge of monitoring tools and reporting.
• Experience working with some or all technologies below:
• Windows Server 2012/2016/2019
• AD/DNS/DHCP/ADFS
• Enterprise Backup and Storage.
• Knowledge of backup tool e.g Veritas , Veam , Tape Library
• Create and update documentation for backup environments
• Advanced knowledge and experience with tape based backup hardware
• Experience with SAN Fabric Technologies
• Perform daily monitoring and management of the backup environment
• Create and provide reports for backup and storage environments, related activities, and tasks
• Maintain equipment based on SOP's and ensure immediate escalation
• File server knowledge
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and related software.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect Linux systems from unauthorized access and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures to minimize data loss and maintain business continuity.
• Collaborate with software developers and system analysts to troubleshoot and resolve software compatibility issues on Linux platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, including Ubuntu, CentOS, or Red Hat.
• Proficient in Linux command-line interface (CLI) and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of linux application e.g Apache, Tomcat, Nginx
• Design Documentation and Reporting
• Effective handling of Technical Escalations
• Troubleshoot High Severity incidents, problem & provide proper RFO/
• Root cause analysis and Preventive maintenance
• Mentor & Hand hold L1/L2 Teams and enhance their performance
• Ability to design and manage cloud-based infrastructures to deliver the required performance, security and availability requirements.
• Creating a cloud product
• Carrying out disaster recovery
• Applying development optimization tools
• Automation of work processes, such as deployment
• Creation of various product features and working as multiple profile
• The ability to conduct testing at different levels and stages of the project
• Knowledge of optimization, automation, integration, and productivity tools
• A solid background in Linux and Windows server system administration
