Senior Mold Designer

• To receive, study, interact & understand the customer requirements about the products & molds.
• Propose & prepare DFM, MFA solutions. ( feasibility study) which includes the proposed mold specifications about basic mold design scheme, layout, gating (type, location & size of gating), runner system ( hot /cold), ejection, cooling lines, IMM & any other specific design mechanisms about the plastic article as well as mold.
• Planning the mold design execution within the mold design team thru the detailed mold design process.

DFM, MFA→ 1 st Review- int & ext → Assembly Design in 3D →

2 nd review → RM & HRS ordering → Detailing 3D & 2D →BOM → Checking the mold design & release to shop floor.

• Actual execution & monitoring of mold design projects as planned above.
• Regular interactions with Tool room shop floor, die makers and QC @ on-going tooling projects. Taking feedbacks & resolving mold design queries. 6) Maintaining the resources of mold design sections: - Hardware & software licenses. Mold design data organisation & management. Back-ups. Team handling.
• Training, grooming the junior/fresh mold designers thru the skill ladder. Study & understand mold designs → 2D detail drawings →3D assembly designs →Splitting of inserts → CAD skills → interactions with int & ext parties → Technical decision making →
• To interact with senior management about the quality objectives, business targets of the unit, in line with the vision, mission & goals of the whole organisation.
• The candidate should be knowledgeable, experienced & capable enough for upholding above responsibilities and most importantly should be having right attitude of sense of ownership.
