Job Purpose
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Mobile QA Automation Engineer to join our Hyderabad office. You will report to a local manager and work closely with a team of QA engineers who are eager to expand their automation skills. This is a hands-on role where you will have responsibility for the mobile automation project and help mentor others.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for native iOS and Android applications.
- Utilize automation frameworks such as Cucumber and Appium to ensure robust test coverage.
- Collaborate with QA engineers to upskill the team in automation best practices.
- Review and refactor existing automation tests (primarily written in Java).
- Lead efforts to improve test strategy, efficiency, and reliability.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards.
Knowledge And Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Proven experience in mobile automation testing for both iOS and Android platforms.
- Hands-on expertise with Cucumber and Appium.
- Strong knowledge of Java; familiarity with Kotlin is a plus.
- Experience leading QA automation initiatives or mentoring other engineers.
- Excellent English speaking and writing skills.
- Relevant certifications (considered a plus), such as:
- ISTQB Certified Tester (Foundation or Advanced Level)
- Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE)
- Appium Pro Certification
