Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to lead the ground-up rebuild of our consumer panel mobile app using React Native. You will own the full product lifecycle — from architecture decisions and UX discussions to CI/CD pipelines and App Store releases — while ensuring a seamless transition from the existing legacy app for millions of panelists across Asia-Pacific.

Role & Responsibilities

• Build a new mobile app from scratch on a modern, scalable architecture using React Native, while analyzing the existing legacy app to ensure functional parity for current users

• Take full ownership of technology selection, critical architectural decisions, and driving continuous improvement of the codebase

• Lead the full lifecycle from UX discussions and technical design to implementation, testing, and production rollout

• Own the mobile CI/CD pipelines (Fastlane, GitHub Actions) and manage the entire app store submission process for both iOS and Android

• Ensure crash-free session rate ≥ 99.5% and ANR within industry norms through robust observability and crash reporting using Sentry and Firebase

Must Have Criteria

• 5–10 years of professional mobile development experience, with deep production expertise in React Native with TypeScript

• Ability to drop into native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) for bridge modules, background tasks, and OS-level performance issues within a React Native project

• Strong command of modern mobile architecture patterns — MVVM, MVP, and Declarative UI — applied in production applications

• Proven experience building mobile applications from scratch on modern stacks, with ability to analyze legacy codebases and ensure functional parity

• Experience building comprehensive automated testing suites covering Unit, Integration, and E2E tests using Jest/Vitest and Detox/Appium

• Expert-level knowledge of mobile CI/CD using Fastlane, including code signing, provisioning profile management, and automated releases to App Store and Play Store

• Demonstrated use of Sentry and Firebase Crashlytics for production crash monitoring, maintaining crash-free session rates ≥ 99.5%

Nice to Have

• Experience working in Agile development environments with iterative sprint-based delivery

• Experience collaborating on UX design and applying user-centered design principles in mobile product development

• Proven track record of optimizing mobile performance — app size, startup time, rendering speed, and memory footprint

• Hands-on experience with mobile accessibility standards (VoiceOver on iOS, TalkBack on Android) and internationalization (i18n/l10n)

• Strong working knowledge of design systems and component libraries applied in a React Native codebase

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
