We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join the Futures India Tech team based in the firm's offices in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Gurugram. This team is primarily responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software and infrastructure that is critical to the functioning of Futures Business Unit. This team is also responsible for developing interactive web applications which aid in portfolio-monitoring.
WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY:
In this role, you will design, evaluate, and implement software for different problem domains in the Futures group, while understanding the data and modeling our infrastructure based on business requirements. You will also build and maintain web applications used by portfolio managers to monitor PnL and visualize positions, trades, and related information. The role involves working on tasks across multiple projects to ensure rapid delivery of enhancements and change management requests, collaborating with various infrastructure and business groups to implement or extend team-developed solutions, and achieving high operational efficiency by analyzing problems and implementing long-term solutions that reduce operational effort.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
The ideal candidate should hold:
Basic qualifications:
- A graduate degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Technology in Computer Science or a related discipline
- 2 to 4 years of professional work experience
- Significant experience in OOP paradigm (Python/C++/Java), with a robust background in data structures and algorithms; our primary environment is Python on Linux
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to execute projects end-to-end
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred qualifications:
- Prior experience with financial markets or a good understanding of trading and financial securities with experience of working with Traders, Quants, and Middle office
