Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Professionally qualified Mechanical Engineer certified/registered by the concerned authorities.
Overall Professional Experience
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering.
- Experience in planning and/or designing hospital buildings with built-up area exceeding 10,000 sqm.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead site surveys to assess existing utility conditions and capacities and collect relevant application and background information.
- Review data collection reports, previous studies, and the hospital master plan.
- Review applicable laws, decrees, regulations, and standards to ensure proposed buildings comply with statutory requirements.
- Prepare schematic mechanical drawings and calculation sheets.
- Prepare schematic design reports to finalize study results and assist the Team Leader in obtaining PMU approval.
- Finalize mechanical design criteria and conditions for the development of detailed designs.
- Review local construction practices and propose optimized construction methods for the proposed facilities.
- Prepare mechanical and other necessary detailed drawings.
- Assist the Cost Management Engineer in collecting mechanical cost information, calculating material and labor quantities, preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and estimating project costs.
- Assist the Tender Document Specialist in preparation of tender documents and technical specifications for mechanical works.
- Review construction work plans, construction drawings, and shop drawings, and provide necessary technical advice and reports to the PMU.
- Attend site inspections and review construction works for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Attend construction work completion inspections and prepare the completion report for mechanical engineering works and submit the same to the PMU.
