Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi for a Senior Maths Editor. The Senior Maths Editor will be responsible for editing, reviewing, and managing mathematics manuscripts for K12 levels, ensuring conceptual clarity, curriculum alignment, and accuracy. The role involves close coordination with authors, reviewers, designers, and production teams to deliver high-quality mathematics books that meet academic and publishing standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• To understand the academic intent and learning objectives behind each mathematics product
• To handle projects from the manuscript stage to the final book, ensuring timely, error-free, and cost-effective publication
• To ensure mathematical accuracy, conceptual progression, and curriculum alignment across all content
• To complete assigned editorial tasks within agreed timelines
• To plan and manage copy-editing and reviewing schedules for assigned projects
• To ensure the publication of high-quality, error-free mathematics books
• To coordinate effectively with authors, reviewers, and internal teams, providing clear and constructive feedback
• To ensure adherence to prescribed syllabi, style guides, and publishing guidelines

Candidate Specification

• Post Graduate in Mathematics / Education or a Diploma / Certificate Course in Publishing
• 35 years of experience with a reputed educational publishing brand with Pan-India presence
• Strong understanding of K12 mathematics curriculum and pedagogy
• Sound knowledge of mathematical concepts, structure, and progression across grades
• Familiarity with typesetting and design tools such as PageMaker, Photoshop, and InDesign
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good organisational and project management skills
• Ability to work under strict deadlines
