About the role

We are building a startup, an inventory-led marketplace reseller (similar to Clicktech / RetailEZ / Cocoblu at an early stage).

This role is not execution-heavy clerical work.

This role is about thinking + operating + deciding.

You will work closely with:

  • The founder
  • Our operations & systems lead (inventory, MIS, dashboards)
  • Our execution team handling day-to-day processing

Your job is to own the marketplace game.

What you will own

You will be responsible for end-to-end marketplace strategy and execution across:

  • Amazon Seller Central
  • Flipkart Seller Hub
  • Other marketplaces (Snapdeal / Myntra / Ajio / etc. as relevant)

This includes:

  • Listing & latching strategy (working with brand-owned listings)
  • Category and competitor analysis
  • Pricing strategy (fees, logistics, margins, Buy Box dynamics)
  • Marketplace cost structures (commissions, logistics, penalties, returns)
  • Sales growth planning without killing contribution
  • New brand onboarding (from listing readiness to GTM)
  • Capital allocation inputs (where inventory money should go)
  • Coordination with supply chain & systems team for clean execution

You will not be doing:

  • Manual order processing
  • Basic MIS creation
  • Clerical follow-ups

  • Has worked deeply on Amazon + Flipkart
  • Understands pricing wars, fee structures, logistics math
  • Has seen what happens when growth is chased without margins
  • Can sit with a founder and say:
  • This brand is worth capital. This one isn't.

Bonus if you've worked at:

  • Large marketplace sellers
  • Inventory-led D2C brands
  • Category-heavy businesses (tools, consumer durables, hard goods)
