To work in New product development activities of the tire segment

2: Organisational Relationship (Provide an organisational chart which illustrates the role structure above and below and parallel to this position).

Decision Making Authority (This will be for every job allocated to the individual)

Schedule A & B

  • Discussing with Product Management team for NPD's
  • Guiding junior team members in preparing DEPR documents
  • Reviewing of Specification and discussing with PI team for successful proto/pilot trials
  • Reviewing Proto / Pilot EPR's for release of the product
  • Supporting in making ERD's for release of products
  • To coordinate with design centers located abroad for design works.
  • Development of new patterns, Cavity, Layouts and specification.
  • Co-ordination with plant team to follow development activities.
  • To work on product improvements

4: Key Result Areas (List the key deliverables that quantify successful performance in the role).

  • Number of new product development as per plan
  • Year on year reduction in number of proto/pilot trials
  • Delivering the NPD with controlled weights

5: Decision Making Authority (For each decision type define if the action involves below mentioned categories:

Schedule B: Follow SOP/policy for decision to be made. (Moderate to Complex decision making)

  • ME / MTech preferred
  • Exposure to NPD process in tire Industry
  • Experience in design and development process in relevant segment of tire industry
  • Knowledge of tire manufacturing process.
  • Basic knowledge about Tire standards like T&RA/ETRTO, etc
  • Project Management (Planning and execution of new projects on time)

Work Experience

Functional

  • Around 8 to 12 years
  • Hand on experience in software's like ACAD, 3D software's like UG, Catia
  • Working knowledge in UG/CATIA-V5 will be an added advantage.
