Leading the delivery of a high volume of sourcing projects globally, the centre acts as the operational engine of the procurement organisation. As such, the GDC will play a critical role in delivering both the in-year savings and the functions long term operating model. The GDC SLM_Ops Sr. Manager will be accountable for ensuring seamless delivery of the critical Source to Contract service globally for GSK. This role works collaboratively with the procurement category and COE teams to design and manage the processes required to successfully operate GDC, cadence of procurement performance on Key KPIs to global leadership teams, designing and executing talent management plan and continuous improvement plan for GDC. This service is a cornerstone of the future procurement operating model and will enable the function to industrialise its core operation driving best practice, providing practical knowledge for development of best in class category strategies, consistency of execution, and continual improvement. The GDC SLM_Ops Sr. Manager will be responsible for ensuring high performance from a team of 50+ people, through delivering effective performance improvements and trainings programs. This role requires: strong understanding of procurement concepts and processes, intelligence/maturity on softer capabilities required to run large service delivery teams, expertise in identifying capability gaps and converting them in high impact training programs. This role also requires strong understanding of strategic objectives of procurement organization and designing, building, reporting of key KPIs to procurement leadership to ensure the success of new procurement operating model. The GDC SLM_Ops Senior Procurement Manager as part of GDC SLM / Operations Team will be responsible for the delivery of the critical supplier lifecycle management service for multiple categories such as Marketing or Professional Services and more. This role will collaborate with the procurement categories to manage suppliers performance and provide commercial opportunity management. This service is a cornerstone of the future procurement operating model and will enable the function to industrialise its core operation driving best practice, providing KPI / performance monitoring and reporting, service delivery and conduct supplier performance management and continual improvement. The role is also accountable for the transition to, and ongoing delivery of, the future ready procurement operation model as it relates to the GDC, management of bank of service levels for contracting, dashboards, service delivery with excellent communication skills including feedback to categories with clear execution plan driving towards set targets. As such the role is pivotal to the successful execution of the procurement future ready transformation. Key Responsibilities: Operations Management Overall responsibility for coordinating site operations for the Global Delivery Centre to ensure the centre is a success and runs smoothly and efficiently. Provide oversight for key areas of the GDC, including budget management, performance management, talent management, liaising with GPLT, and chairing the GDC operations committee. Lead a multi-functional matrix-managed team in delivery of all GDC operational activities (e.g., source to contract service delivery teams, performance management, common process design, training etc.) Provide oversight to ensure there is a strong culture and community within GDC, and it stays aligned with GSK values and expectations. Collaborate with Global proc leadership team and wider GSK community to determine GDC priorities and share learnings Ensure procurement Global Delivery leads requests and priorities are met. Responsible for standing in for Global Delivery Head whenever required (e.g. for reporting to GPLT). Resolve escalations, including from senior business stakeholders, timely and tactfully Manage complex prioritizations with multiple variables/considerations including but not limited to stakeholder sensitivity, business value and impact, spend, savings, compliance, risk to GSK etc. Understand and efficiently navigate organizational complexity to deliver set goals Engage with the wider GSK project management community and update the GDC community on learnings. Performance Management Responsible for managing KPIs, and effectively using them to deliver efficiencies and facilitate improvement. Strong source to contract process understanding is required to design effective KPIs aligned to assurance of supply (risk management), quality, service, cost and innovation Create and implement the performance management strategy, framework and process for GDC KPIs in collaboration with category and proc leadership teams Ensure all GDC performance metrics are set in a measurable way and are easy to access/track Ensure GSK's Procurement policies, procedures, processes, systems and methodologies are utilized in a compliant manner by GDC Responsible for Identification of performance issues, root causes and establish training plan to fill gaps along with GDC leadership Managing Learning & Development needs of GDC by leveraging existing or building new training plans Ability to create and maintain monthly performance management reports and dashboards and commentary for executive team. Engage and contribute to the wider GSK performance analysis community People leadership (for roles with people management responsibilities) Support GDC Ops lead in ensuring smooth operations and performance management, talent management for GDC Develop and implement effective ways of working across the GDC, LOC and Category team to ensure a cohesive approach Develop the team and individual capabilities from both technical and behavioural aspects Drive operational efficiency Set and deliver continuous improvement of all process with responsibility to build best in class Global Delivery Centre in Procurement Ensure that GSK's procurement policies, procedures, processes, systems and methodologies are utilized in a compliant manner in the area of responsibility Strategy execution Align with appropriate Global category teams and work in collaboration with these teams to share insights and practical knowledge to provide supplier performance management and commercial management including diagnosis for commercial opportunities Lead KPI/ Performance monitoring and reporting, credits management and execution, reporting , rebate collection Be procurement subject matter experts for one or multiple categories across all spends such as Marketing & Sales or Corporate services and others to commercial opportunities Manage and conduct periodic contract reviews, expiry and renewal needs of the contracts and input to contracts negotiations with SLA/ KPI metrics Benefit delivery Deliver benefits identified in strategies globally, through effective and collaborative contract execution and supplier performance management and commercial management Monitor KPIs and performance monitoring , report it to Categories, Manage execution of credits and rebates and report efficiency Cooperation with Categories Build strategic relationship with a network of senior Procurement leads to identify opportunities to create value Create WOW and governance to support categories to conduct regular performance management meetings and realise the commercial opportunities Understand and efficiently navigate organizational complexity to deliver set goals Knowledge, Skills & Experience required: 10-15 years of relevant procurement experience in an operational /strategic role in supplier or vendor management in proc operation centre, proc shared service centre, captive centre or capability centre working with team members across all levels of an organisation. Strong procurement process and concept understanding including strategic sourcing, sourcing execution, commercial and contract negotiations for complex global indirect categories Proven ability to manage a large number of complex stakeholders. Strong understanding of performance management industry standards and tools Strong analytics skills and understanding of data interpretation and associated tools Good exposure in previous roles to multi-cultural, multi-functional environment This role should have strong demonstrated procurement expertise in commercial and contract negotiations, strategic sourcing, cost models synthesis and supplier relationship management for delivering multi-country, high spend complex engagements. Demonstrated experience in navigating through organizational complexity, collaborating simultaneously with multiple teams, influencing without authority, handling escalations and associated business impact. Demonstrated experience in understanding and utilising complex business processes in all GSK supplier transactions, including all risk/regulatory/compliance Strong experience in using tools like Ariba SLM Ability to identify and escalate roadblocks, risks and issues in a timely and effective manner. Exceptional people management skills Senior Leadership Team exposure Strong understanding of financial performance models.
