Position Overview

The Senior Manager – Production (FRP & GFRC Division) will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end manufacturing operations within the FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) and GFRC (Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete) divisions. The role involves strategic planning, process optimization, quality assurance, team leadership, and continuous improvement to achieve organizational productivity, quality, and cost objectives.The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in FRP processes such as pultrusion, molding, composite fabrication, and product development, along with proven experience in plant management and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations Management

  • Direct and manage daily production operations across FRP and GFRC product lines to meet delivery schedules and quality standards.
  • Develop and execute production plans aligned with organizational targets and customer requirements.
  • Oversee resource allocation, machine utilization, and capacity planning for optimized output
  • Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs for equipment, tools, and mold

Process Improvement & Optimization

  • Drive process improvements, cycle-time reduction, and waste minimization through Lean, Kaizen, and 5S principles.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for quality and operational issues; develop corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Support new product and tooling development through design optimization and trial runs.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, EMS 14001) and compliance with industry standards such as IRC:137–2022
  • Oversee testing and certification procedures, including NABL and BIS-related documentation and laboratory coordination.
  • Maintain high standards of product quality and consistency through timely inspections and controls.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.
  • Review performance metrics and implement training programs to upgrade team capabilities.

Material & Cost Management

  • Plan and manage material procurement in coordination with the supply chain and stores departments.
  • Monitor inventory, consumption, and reconciliation to minimize wastage.
  • Drive cost optimization through efficient material usage and vendor collaboration for process innovation.

New Product Development

  • Partner with R&D and design teams to commercialize new FRP & GFRC products including structural profiles, fan assemblies, rebars, panels, and infrastructure elements.
  • Support prototyping, testing, and development of new tooling and composite systems (epoxy, polyester).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred: specialization in composites or materials).
  • 10+ years of experience in FRP, composite, or GFRC manufacturing operations.
  • Proven track record in production management, process development, and plant operations.
  • Strong understanding of pultrusion, molding, and fabrication processes.
  • Familiar with SAP ERP, TCS iON, and ISO/TS16949 systems.
  • Exposure to NABL/BIS certification processes will be an added advantage.
