We are seeking a talented individual to join our Investments team at Mercer, a Marsh Business. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office
Senior Manager Investments (Portfolio Investment Strategy)
We will count on you to:
- Understanding of macro (e.g., fixed income/ rates) and systematic factors to support fund and total portfolio management activities
- Produce routine fund level performance analysis and risk dashboards (both on a return based and holdings-based level), and draft fund commentaries
- Support portfolio managers with more in-depth fund management projects, including fund deep dives and ESG analytics
- Support total portfolio management team to develop and maintain ongoing total portfolio level reporting (e.g., quarterly CIO report, client level composite dashboard)
- Contribute to investment data updates to enable data analytics and smooth report generation
- Assist and contribute to the firm level initiatives, including intellectual capital development, automation, development of tools & methodologies.
- Coordinate projects and interface with different stakeholders to define, track, manage, and meet deliverables
What you need to have:
- 5-7 years of work experience in either a portfolio intelligence / portfolio management / investment strategies team
- BE/B Tech from a top tier college and/or Masters in Finance / Financial Engineering / Econometrics / Quantitative Finance
- Any progress towards FRM, CFA or CAIA is a plus
- Strong background in portfolio management, construction and advanced econometrics, statistical modelling, with programming skills in Python considered a plus
- Experience with databases is required with Python, SQL skills and ability to research, self-learn and use, complex Python libraries
- Broad financial instruments knowledge, covering but not limited to fixed income, equities, ETF's, investment funds, derivatives and market indices
What you need to have:
- Experience with cloud and Barra/ FactSet risk models is a plus
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly effective and self-sufficient project management skills
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as lead the process to achieve targets in timely order.
