Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Manager People Operations to build and scale a high-impact, data-driven People Ops function.
This role goes beyond traditional HR operations you will drive strategic people initiatives, lead cross-functional projects, and design scalable systems that enable business growth and exceptional employee experience.
You will operate at the intersection of operations, strategy, and transformation, partnering closely with leadership to shape a future-ready organization.
Key Responsibilities
People Operations & Employee Experience
- Own and elevate the end-to-end employee lifecycle (onboarding to exit) with a strong focus on experience, efficiency, and scalability
- Design and continuously improve employee journeys, reducing friction and improving engagement
Strategic Projects & Transformation
- Lead high-impact People Ops projects such as:
- HR process transformation
- Policy redesign
- Org-wide system implementations
- Automation and digitization initiatives
- Identify gaps and proactively build solutions aligned with business growth
People Strategy & Thought Leadership
- Partner with leadership to translate business goals into scalable people strategies
- Bring a first-principles thinking approach to redesign processes and policies
- Drive initiatives around productivity, org effectiveness, and workforce planning
HR Systems, Data & Analytics
- Own HRMS and people systems; drive adoption, optimization, and automation
- Build dashboards and generate insights on key people metrics (attrition, engagement, productivity, etc.)
- Use data to influence decision-making and improve outcomes
Governance, Compliance & Risk (Enabler, not driver)
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (PF, ESIC, labor laws, etc.)
- Build robust, scalable processes that balance governance with agility
Payroll, Benefits & Vendor Management
- Oversee payroll operations, benefits programs, and vendor partnerships
- Ensure high accuracy, efficiency, and employee satisfaction
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with business leaders, finance, legal, and global teams to drive alignment
- Act as a trusted advisor on people-related matters
Team Leadership
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing People Ops team
- Drive accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in People Operations / HR Ops / HR Transformation
- Proven experience in driving strategic HR projects and process transformation
- Strong understanding of HR operations, compliance, and employee lifecycle
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth (startup/SaaS/tech) environments
- Strong problem-solving and structured thinking ability
- Experience with HRMS tools and data analytics
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
