As a Senior Manager at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector - Financial Technology, you will lead a team of engineers and analysts to transform Planning & Analysis capabilities through innovative data products and enterprise solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Build and mentor a high-performing team of engineers and analysts. Foster technical growth, conduct performance management, and create a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Design and deliver scalable data products that transform P&A processes. Own the strategic roadmap from concept to production, ensuring alignment with firm objectives and measurable business outcomes.
- Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to build robust, cloud-native solutions using AWS, Databricks, and modern data platforms. Define requirements, integration patterns, and technical architecture that meet enterprise standards.
- Establish and champion best practices in code quality, design patterns, testing, and architectural principles. Lead technical reviews, drive continuous improvement, and elevate engineering standards across the organization.
- Partner with stakeholders across Finance and Technology to gain buy-in for strategic initiatives. Translate complex technical concepts into business value and drive change through clear communication and demonstrated results.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- 15+ years in technology leadership with proven experience managing and developing technical teams
- Strong hands-on expertise: AWS, Databricks, PySpark, Python, REST APIs
- Deep understanding of data engineering, enterprise architecture, and modern application design patterns
- Experience in finance, P&A, or financial analytics within technology-driven environments
- Track record of establishing engineering standards and mentoring teams on best practices
- Demonstrated ability to drive delivery of complex transformation initiatives from strategy to execution
- Excellent communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Finance, or related field advanced degree preferred
- Knowledge of financial services domain
