Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between the design team, product managers, and the Bill of Process (BOP) development team to ensure that all aspects of product development are aligned.
- Monitor and oversee the assembly of trial pieces, ensuring that prototypes meet the required specifications and standards.
- Validate new products through rigorous testing in the Research & Development (R&D) Lab, ensuring they meet all performance and safety criteria.
- Coordinate with plant heads and production teams to ensure the smooth transition of new products from the development phase to mass production.
- Actively work to eliminate any communication gaps or disconnects between departments, ensuring that all teams are informed and aligned at every stage of the product development process.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in the product development lifecycle, focusing on enhancing efficiency and reducing time to-market.
- Develop and implement improvements to existing procedures and equipment to maximize production efficiency and output.
- Continuously evaluate production processes, seeking ways to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Oversee the validation of new products, ensuring that they meet all required standards before full-scale production begins.
- Work closely with the R&D team to address any issues identified during the validation phase and implement necessary changes.
- Ensure that all production processes are ready for new product introduction, including equipment, tooling, and workforce training.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on the status of product development projects, highlighting any risks or challenges that may impact the production timeline.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is informed of progress, changes, and key decisions.
- Prepare detailed reports on process improvements, including the impact on production efficiency and cost savings.
Competencies/skills:
- Plastic Moulding Technology, Mould Making Technology, SS Sheet Metal components and BOP Developments like Rubber parts, Pins, Metal parts, springs.
Qualification & Experience:
- B.E./B. Tech - Mechanical/ Plastic Engineering with 14 + years of experience.
