Senior Manager – Retail Sales

Location: Sector 65, Gurugram

Type: Full-time

Experience: 4–6 years (incl. 2–3 years leading a sales team)

Travel: 10–15% across NCR

Compensation: Up to ₹1.2 lakhs/month + uncapped incentives

Overview

We are looking for a hands-on sales leader to manage and scale our retail (private events) sales team. This role combines team leadership, process ownership, and direct selling, with a strong focus on conversion, efficiency, and margin discipline.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs)

Team Management & Performance

  • Lead and manage a team of 5–6 sellers handling inbound leads
  • Drive monthly & quarterly sales targets through structured planning
  • Ensure adherence to CRM processes, follow-ups, and conversion discipline
  • Motivate, mentor, and build a high-performance sales culture
  • Scale existing team to 10-15 sellers by identifying suitable talent working with hiring agencies

Conversion Excellence

  • Actively shadow, coach, and step in on key deals
  • Demonstrate best-in-class sales conversations for complex / high-value events
  • Identify gaps and continuously train the team to improve conversions

Process & Systems

  • Build and refine sales playbooks, scripts, and workflows
  • Ensure clean CRM hygiene and data-driven decision making
  • Improve lead funnel efficiency (response time, qualification, closure)

Commercial Ownership

  • Understand and manage team-level P&L
  • Drive revenue while maintaining margin discipline
  • Optimize cost vs output (seller productivity, CAC mindset)

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Product/Tech
  • Provide feedback on:
  • Lead quality & campaigns
  • Product gaps & customer needs
  • Operational challenges impacting sales

What We're Looking For

Experience

  • 4–6 years in sales, with 2–3 years managing a team
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving / exceeding targets
  • Experience in high-ATV sales (events, weddings, travel, luxury retail preferred)

Skillset

  • Hands-on leader — willing to get on calls and close deals
  • Strong numerical and commercial understanding
  • Highly process-oriented (CRM discipline is non-negotiable)
  • Ability to think on feet and handle dynamic customer requirements
  • Comfortable with high variable / incentive-driven compensation
