Job Purpose: The Incharge - MEP is responsible for overseeing the execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. This role involves coordinating with contractors, reviewing documentation, and resolving technical issues to support the successful delivery of MEP services.
Responsibilities

Technical Oversight
Possess adequate knowledge of Plumbing, Electrification, and Fireworks to ensure project compliance.
Review and provide technical guidance on project documents such as tenders, specifications, BOQs, material submittals, and shop drawings to ensure alignment with design intent.
Review plans and specifications as per tender documents and advise on discrepancies or improvements.
Prepare detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates for plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and general piping systems.
Analyze mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering problems and formulate effective solutions to ensure project success.
Identify and address design issues, plan work schedules, and manage multiple projects efficiently.
Project Execution & Compliance
Supervise and execute all MEP works, including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and electrical installations, ensuring quality and safety compliance.
Manage and lead MEP contractors throughout the project duration, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Plan, organize, review, and evaluate the work of consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
Review and approve contractor installation method statements to ensure adherence to project requirements.
Conduct site inspections and snagging reviews, preparing a list of defects for the contractor's rectification.
Test and commission MEP systems as per technical specifications.
Ensure proper coordination between structural, electrical, and mechanical disciplines.
Documentation & Reporting
Review and comment on contractor shop drawings against tender drawings and ensure proper engineering coordination across disciplines.
Assess contractors MEP material proposals against performance requirements and advise the Project Manager on their suitability.
Review contractor's proposed subcontractors for engineering works from a technical perspective.
Review and comment on contractor's operation and maintenance manuals to ensure completeness and clarity.
Prepare draft site/engineer's instructions related to MEP services as required and issue them to the Project Manager.
Attend project, site progress, and technical meetings as directed by the Project Manager.
Coordination & Contractor Management
Supervise the execution of MEP activities, ensuring adherence to approved shop drawings and specifications.
Provide technical advice to designers, supervisors, inspectors, and contractors regarding installation and maintenance of MEP systems.
Monitor site progress, manage manpower and materials, and ensure timely completion of assigned work.
Coordinate and resolve technical issues in consultation with the Project Manager and Lead - MEP.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Work Experience (Range Of Years)
Work Experience(Range of years):
8-10 Years
Preferred Industry
Experience in MEP execution within real estate, commercial, or infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of MEP design, installation, and commissioning processes.
