- Lead the mechanical engineering functions related to boilers and pressure parts, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. - Plan, coordinate, and oversee inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair activities to maximize plant availability and operational efficiency. - Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies including predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance for boiler pressure components. - Drive root cause analysis and failure investigations on boiler and pressure parts, providing technical solutions to prevent recurrence. - Collaborate closely with design, procurement, and quality assurance teams to ensure all mechanical equipment meets design specifications and statutory requirements. - Manage vendor relationships and evaluate contractor performance to ensure adherence to quality, timelines, and budgetary constraints. - Facilitate timely preparation and review of technical documentation such as inspection reports, maintenance records, and compliance certificates. - Lead safety audits and risk assessments, promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility aligned with Adani's core values. - Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians, fostering a knowledge-sharing environment and ensuring technical competencies are continually enhanced. - Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry best practices to recommend process improvements and innovative solutions. - Participate in budgeting and resource allocation to optimize project execution without compromising on quality and safety. - Coordinate with regulatory bodies and third-party inspectors for statutory inspections and certifications related to pressure vessels and boilers. - Drive initiatives for energy efficiency and sustainability in mechanical operations, supporting Adani's commitment to environmental stewardship. - Ensure strict adherence to all relevant Indian Boiler Regulations (IBR) and international standards related to pressure parts. - Foster collaboration across departments to support integrated plant operations and contribute to organizational growth objectives.
Experience
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Boiler and Pressure Parts in the Power/Energy industry. - Proven track record of managing large-scale boiler mechanical operations, maintenance, inspection, and performance optimization. - Extensive experience in overseeing manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of pressure vessels and boiler components. - Demonstrated leadership in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and interfacing with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
Education Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute is mandatory. - Master's Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related specialization will be an added advantage.
Certification Required
- Certified Boiler Inspector or equivalent certification is preferred. - Professional certifications related to pressure vessel design, welding inspection, and quality management (such as ASME, IBR Certification) will be advantageous.
