Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee all aspects of Medanta Foundation's financial operations pan-India. This role requires a proactive professional who can develop robust financial processes, ensure compliance, and provide strategic insights to drive business growth. The ideal candidate will be skilled in accounting, taxation, client management, and financial planning, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and support senior management in decision-making.

1. Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge

  • Companies Act CSR provisions (India, if applicable)
  • Trust accounting, accounting standards and audit requirements
  • Income Tax Act (12A, 80G compliance)
  • FCRA compliance
  • Experience managing statutory audits, internal audits, and donor reporting.

2. Fund Utilisation & Budget Management Capability

  • Budgeting and fund allocation across multiple projects
  • Monitoring utilisation vs. sanctioned budgets
  • Ensuring program-wise financial tracking
  • Preventing fund diversion and ensuring compliance with donor intent
  • Ability to work with program teams for financial discipline.

3. Multi-Stakeholder & Partner Coordination

  • CSR partner companies
  • Implementation agencies
  • Internal corporate finance teams
  • Auditors and compliance consultants
  • Strong communication skills to present financial reports to CSR Head / trustees/board members.

4. Systems, Controls & Governance

  • Financial SOPs
  • Internal control frameworks
  • Procurement and disbursement controls
  • Grant management
  • Experience with ERP/accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP).

5. Leadership & Ethical Orientation

  • Experience leading a small finance team.
  • Strong integrity and transparency mindset.
  • Alignment with social impact mission and healthcare sector sensitivity.
  • Ability to balance compliance rigor with program agility.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Exposure to work in CSR, NGO, Trust, or Section 8 company accounting.
  • Experience handling funds received under CSR mandates (preferably from large corporates).
  • 58 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
