Overview of the Job
- Construction supervision of new landscape projects following the best horticultural, irrigation practices.
- Work closely with Project management consultant to ensure each stage of construction, quality control, quality audit and documentation.
- Verification of Good for construction drawings, specifications and quality of the tender documents.
- Support the tender process, pre and post technical assessment of the contractor.
- Final approval of the shop drawings, material submittals and cross check the compliance statement as per the specification document.
- Interface coordination with different contractors working in the same projects.
- Coordination of testing & commissioning, as built drawings and maintenance manual
- Make sure BIAL QA/QC process, EHS and sustainability throughout the contractual duration.
- Oversee the PMC's Program management to achieve different milestones.
- Manage and utilize facilities and resources available in BIAL nursery and related discipline to transform the existing landscape to global standard.
Responsibilities
- Design management, Construction documentation, controls & Quality assurance.
- Irrigation and drainage system of planters and vertical green infrastructure
- Plant selection, inspection and growth check
- Mandatory testing of the materials and maintaining material room
- Biophilia vertical green infrastructure development
- Construction duration maintenance of the softscape indoor and outdoor.
- Close out documentation.
- Review of GFC, specifications and BOQ. Coordination with Project management consultant and contractor, weekly progress meetings, KPI monitoring.
- Check and coordinate the drainage system of planters and latest automation of irrigation system including fertigation
- Develop engineered growing media suitable for indoor planting
- Construction of green wall with latest technology like felt with water culture or growing media with controlled irrigation system
- Maintenance of flora on green infrastructure, biophilia and platers and open space landscape
Qualifications
- M.Sc. Agriculture / Horticulture
- At least 15-20 years of experience in landscape construction of large projects
- MS Office, Word, Excel, Power point, Auto CAD, BIM, Document control software etc.
- Knowledge of plants native to Bengaluru and climate adaptability.
- Exercise best horticultural practice in construction of softscape. Biophilia vertical green infrastructure.
- Knowledge on Indoor planters, plants and its adaptability to controlled climate
- Practice sustainability, resource management, program management.
